## The short version

Reading MortgageMath US sets no tracking cookies. Our page-view statistics are counted on the server without cookies. A few items are stored only when you use a feature that needs them.

| Name | Type | Purpose | When it is set | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| app_mortgagemathus | Cookie (strictly necessary) | Protects forms against forgery and keeps the site owner signed in to the admin area | When you open the contact form or the admin area | Until you close the browser |
| mm-theme | Local storage | Remembers light or dark mode | When you use the theme switch | Until you clear it |
| mm-consent | Local storage | Remembers your advertising choice | When you answer the privacy prompt | Until you clear it |

## Advertising cookies

If advertising is switched on, ad partners such as Google may set their own cookies to show and measure ads. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland we ask for your consent first, and we signal your choice to Google through its Consent Mode. Without consent, ads can still appear but are not personalised.

## Changing your choice

Use the “Privacy choices” link at the bottom of any page to change your advertising choice, or clear this site’s data in your browser settings. Blocking all cookies does not stop the site or the calculators from working.

See the [privacy policy](https://mail.mortgage-math-us.com/privacy/) for what we collect and why.
